Information You Submit
Search Terms
A name, place, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the third-party company that operates that search tool. Missaukee County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages
If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not disclose the message outside the organization unless the law requires that disclosure.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Like most websites, server and analytics systems may record basic technical details when a page loads:
- The internet protocol address used for the request
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when supplied
- Date and time records for the visit
Cookies
Cookies may help measure how visitors move through the site. A browser can reject or remove them, though some features may then work differently.
How Information Is Used
Collected data supports the ordinary operation of the service:
- Keeping pages available and responsive
- Sending search requests to the selected search partner
- Understanding which resources visitors find useful
- Detecting faults and correcting technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect general interests
Links and Outside Services
Links lead to sheriff and corrections pages, release-record sources, government portals, and outside search providers. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s privacy terms control its handling of information.
Advertising partners may use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select interest-based ads. That collection occurs on their systems, not ours.
When Data May Be Shared
We do not sell personal data. Information may nevertheless pass to a limited group when needed:
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Analytics providers that measure site use
- Advertising networks serving or measuring ads
- Law enforcement or another public body acting under a valid legal order
Security Has Limits
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used to protect information. No internet-connected system is immune from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Get in Touch page to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law, a person may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal data we hold
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete eligible personal information
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
